OUR HISTORY
The Coalition for Homeless Individuals (CHI) was formed in 2014 by service providers who are on the front lines of the state’s safety net. Our focus is to secure the funding necessary to give Massachusetts individuals experiencing homelessness a full continuum of support.
Since CHI’s founding, our collective advocacy has enabled us to:
Increase critical funding to support individuals experiencing homelessness
Ensure that funding goes to providers truly doing impactful work on the ground
Support our workforce with compensation that reflects the skill and services they provide
